Marine Radio (VHF) with DSC Endorsement

Three Upcoming Courses (note each course is two days in duration):

Saturday, February 27th & Sunday, February 28th - 13:00 to 17:00 (both days)

To operate a marine radio, you need a Restricted Operator Certificate (Maritime). It is the law! Through the course text (CD included), the Marine Radio course teaches emergency radio procedures, as well as everyday operating techniques. Class time is spread over two sessions of about four hours each, and concludes with a 2-part exam, the second of which is an oral.

Topics covered include the uses of marine radios, choice of frequencies, operation, phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases, as well as Digital Selective Calling and the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System, (DSC/GMDSS).
