Ablative Antifouling Coatings

The features of ablative paint coatings are they contain no organotin compounds. They contain high levels of cuprous oxides. Their unique ablative mechanism prevents attachment of fouling organisms over long periods even under severe fouling conditions. The smoothing action helps reduce drag resistance.

The product has a two year shelf life and can be brushed, rolled or sprayed and is very compatible with a wide range of bottom paints. Dry time is a minimum of 4 hours before recoating and 5 hours prior to launching. No maximum drying time.

Who Should Use?

Yacht racers looking for a fast clean bottom. Power boaters, where reduced operating costs and extended haul out intervals are required. The coatings are available in 1 USG Containers. Red, Blue and Black colours only are available. Epoxy coatings and topside enamels are also available.

These ablative coatings are available through the Club office at $150.00 CDN (tax included) per gallon.

Many members of the Club have been using these coatings for 25 years or longer and the only complaint we are aware of is that we can't make it available in green.
