Marine Radio (VHF) Course with DSC endorsement

Friday, March 11th – 6:00 to 10:00 pm

Sunday, March 13th – 12noon to 5:00pm

Anyone operating a marine radio needs a Restricted Operator Certificate (Maritime). It's the law!

This Marine Radio Course prepares you to acquire it: you will learn emergency radio procedures, as well as everyday operating techniques. Topics also include the uses of marine radios, choice of frequencies, operation, phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases, as well as Digital Selective Calling and the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System, (DSC/GMDSS).

The course has two sessions of about 4 hours each, the second of which concludes with a 2-part exam: one written, the other an oral. On successful completion, you will have earned your Restricted Operator Certificate (Maritime).
